Why Customization Matters More Than Ever

  1. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Michael Resig: We heard about Lumina through the nonprofit Solar Switch program. We have been interested in getting solar for many years, but the process of finding a good solar provider and getting a trusted quote was very difficult - until Lumina. Lumina has a team dedicated to helping you learn everything you need to know about the solar process and they keep you informed during the journey. Lumina was excellent with communicating every step and they managed all the paperwork, permits, installation, inspection, and warranty info. It was an incredibly smooth experience and it all happened very quickly. We’re excited and proud to have our home powered with solar, and we have Lumina to thank!
  2. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Matthew Cawthorne: I was really excited with the idea of getting a rooftop PV system, and Lumina had really good reviews. Their price was nearly identical to another very highly rated company in my area and I liked the look of the REC panels so we went with Lumina. During the initial sizing I proposed a symmetric configuration that was pleasing to the eye and was told 'we can discuss the exact configuration during the engineering phase'. Well, I was never contacted until all of the approvals were complete and at that point it was too late to get the configuration that I wanted. The Lumina configuration was unsymmetric and had 1 fewer panel on the highly productive south facing roof. It was not the end of the world, but I take pride in the aesthetics of my house. In the end I was able to get them to make it symmetric, but with the one less panel in the good orientation. The biggest problem, however is that the panels on the front of the house are in a nearly ideal orientation, facing almost south, and with a roof pitch that is good for this latitude. The 400+ watt panels are oriented well enough that they should be able to generate close to 400 watts during the middle of the day (cloud cover permitting). Lumina specified and installed 300 watt inverters so those panels never produce more than 300 watts. Instead of a sine wave for production I get a curve that is clipped flat on top. 300 watt inverters are ok for the back of the house where the sun angles are not as ideal and the panels cannot produce as much power, but not for the front. So why am I giving them 4 stars? Well, their Operations department that scheduled and performed the installation did a really good job and were a delight to work with. The workmanship is really good and everything has been functioning for the first 16 months of operation. There were no surprises in the pricing.
  3. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Darius Pham: Did my installation with Tim Cook. He help me navigate through all the installation steps. Is great and awesome. I would highly recommend him. Glad after 2 years is not as bad.
  4. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by charles grebe jr: i see all the good reviews, where are the true reviews, i got nothing these people promised, i have their solar and still get big bills from met ed, opposite of what i was told, i was told they put a bigger setup on than needed and i would get money from met ed every year for what they used but instead get bills from met ed, and forget about calling salesman, he never returns calls, wish i never dealt with these people, this month, 167.00 out of my account for lumina and 144.00 bill from met ed, more than i ever paid, single man living alone
  5. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by John Herzig: Lumina did a nice job with our solar system installation. We are enjoying the savings on our electric bill, and doing our part on climate change. We worked with Alexander, who was very knowledgable and helpful.
  6. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Karen Roberts: I highly resommend Lumina Solar. It’s been about a year since we started the solar installation process and I could not be more pleased with Lumina. Their communication is outstanding. Our representative, Pete, was with us every step of the way from planning to going online. Costs were clear and the results have been as expected. Even though we switched from a gas furnace to an electric heat pump, for the month’s our solar has been operating we are still ahead financially.
  7. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Alicia Sheller: I will admit I was very skeptical about going solar because I had been receiving cold calls about it for months and none of these companies that called seemed professional or knowledgeable (in fact, they were calling me and often they were the ones to hang up on me). When I met with Courtney from Lumina Solar I was astounded by the amount of incorrect information that I had been hearing and she showed me the data to back up what they were saying. Courtney built a cohesive plan for my home and walked me through it from start to finish. The presentation was easy and comfortable and she answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable, but she created a plan that was best for ME, letting me know she has my best interests at hand. I am 100% certain my home is in the best possible hands and I am so excited to be going solar. I highly recommend Lumina Solar (and Courtney) if you are looking to go solar, you won't be disappointed!
  8. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Sharon Shipe: Throughout the project, from start to finish everyone at Lumina was very professional and helpful and quickly resolved any issue that arose! I'm happy with the finished product and have recommended to friends and family.
  9. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Chad Haggerty: Update - Lowering Rating as I continue to wait for batteries to be installed.. My Original Quote was to also install 2 Telsa batteries - due to back order issues I went ahead with the panel installation on the assumption that the batteries would soon follow (Dec-Jan), Well it is Mid March and getting a status or update on batteries has been challenging and I still have no time table... The frustration and disappoint is growing and my perception of a very Customer Centric Company is dwindling... I would highly recommend Lumina Solar! They were very clear and responsive through the entire process. The installers did a great job and they were all very nice and very professional!!! Everyone at Lumina was nice and professional. Thank to the entire team and especially Philip for a smooth and accommodating process!
  10. Review of Lumina Solar PA in [:county] Pennsylvania by Trish Robinson: Our experience with Lumina has been great. With all of the possible derailments that 2020 could have caused, they managed to overcome and deliver exceptional and safe service. Our rep, Peter DiGuardia, was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions (and I had many). Our panels look great, and the benefits have been immediate. I highly recommend going solar, doing your research, and contacting Peter to help you with the process.
